This is a water polo beginner class, and the time of this class may vary from week to week. The coach will confirm the time on a weekly basis.

Dive into the world of aquatics with our comprehensive water polo class, meticulously designed to instil a strong foundation in swimming skills. This class is tailored for individuals of all skill levels who seek to master the art of efficient and confident swimming in the context of water polo. Our experienced instructors prioritise the fundamentals, emphasising proper technique in strokes, kicks, and breathing to enhance your aquatic prowess.
Through a progressive curriculum, our sessions target helping advanced water polo players improve their strength, stamina and endurance during games. There are ‘Challenge sets’ such as Pulse Raisers, Water Polo Leg Kick strengthening drills and egg beater kicks for example.
In a supportive and dynamic learning environment, participants will benefit from individualised attention, group exercises, and simulated game scenarios that integrate newly acquired swimming skills. Whether you’re a beginner aiming to conquer the water or an aspiring water polo athlete, this class will empower you with the confidence and ability to navigate the water effortlessly while setting the stage for future aquatic accomplishments.
Equipment – Athletes are to attend wearing their swimsuit and warm bathrobe, wearing appropriate footwear (water-safe shoes). Please note that bikinis are not permitted.
- Swimming caps must now be purchased from Eurosport in Birkirkara.
Lesson Times –Â Swimmers are requested to arrive for their lesson 5 to 10 minutes before the start time in order to settle in properly.
Replacement Lessons –Â No replacement lessons will be given unless a valid reason is provided, which reason must be communicated with the coach immediately and shall be at the club’s discretion whether to provide a replacement lesson or not. It is of great importance that due to the ‘student to coach ratio’ you stick to the lessons for which you have registered. Kindly note that all fees paid are non-refundable.
Weather –Â Lessons will ONLY be cancelled if there is a storm, thunder, or lightning. Rain is not an issue, and lessons will still be held.
