In the Turtles Class, swimmers will work towards achieving a good kick technique in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Through focused drills and targeted training, our coaches will help swimmers develop strength, power, and efficiency in their kicks across all four strokes.
The Turtles Class introduces diving techniques to swimmers, teaching them proper body positioning, approach, and entry into the water. We emphasise safety and technique, empowering swimmers to execute dives confidently and efficiently.
A comprehensive understanding of basic drills is crucial for continued improvement. We ensure that swimmers in Turtles Class acquire knowledge of various drills specific to each stroke. These drills aid in refining technique, enhancing efficiency, and addressing specific areas for improvement.
Term Dates: Starting on Monday 3rd of July 2023 until 17th of September 2023 at St Dorothys School in Zebbug (10 weeks, 1 week break between the 14th and 20th August, 2023 over Santa Maria week).
Mid Term Break: between Monday the 14th and Sunday 20th August, 2023
Public Holidays: Sessions will be held in the morning on the following public holidays: Friday the 08.09 from 08:30 – 11:00am (3:30pm bookings at 8:30am, 4:20pm bookings at 9:20am & 5:10pm bookings at 10:10am).
Equipment: Swimsuit & Goggles + Swim Cap.
Dress code: Athletes are to attend wearing their swimsuit and warm bathrobe, wearing appropriate footwear (flip flops/slides). We will help our little swimmers remove their bathrobes and help them back in when we are ready from the session. Please note that bikinis are not permitted.
Parents are kindly asked to wait outside or at the restaurant, they may watch all lessons from the spectator area.
Replacement lessons: Replacement sessions are only allowed in the case of absence due to illness. Kindly send a copy of the doctors note via email to [email protected] in order to schedule a replacement session.
Lesson Times: Swimmers are asked to report to the Learn to Swim Co-Ordinator five minutes before the start of their lessons with their issued Sirens Cap/Swim Cap on.
